TU Delft students Lotte Leufkens, Francesca Lucas and Sebas Joosten started the development of CloudCuddle as a project of the Biomechanical Engineering minor. During their minor they met a father of a physically disabled son who was looking for a safe, transportable sleeping environment for a trip or a holiday, and could not find a suitable solution on the market. The team enthusiastically accepted this challenge and designed a safe, lightweight and child friendly inflatable solution, fit for travelling.
After the project the interest of the parents for their project continued and the team decided to continue development. They won some competitions with their idea and were able to build the first life-size prototypes. They enhanced their business case and entrepreneurial skills by completing the LaunchLab startup program of tech incubator Yes!Delft.
Now incorporated, CloudCuddle is developing the product further and is hoping to start testing their new prototype soon. When the product will meet the high safety and quality standards, CloudCuddle aims to start distributing their first products to children and their families.
