Theun Baller
Theun Baller was dean of the TU Delft faculty of 3mE. He has always worked at the interface of science and business. Before he was appointed dean, Theun was Open Innovation Program Manager at TU Delft. Between 1986 and 2011, he held various positions at Philips Research, gaining extensive experience in working with scientists to foster successful research.
He views entrepreneurship, starting new businesses, as one of the most important instruments for transferring new knowledge to practical implementations and economic growth. He considers it an honour, as a member of this supervisory board, to be able to help the organisation of investing in spin outs of the university.
Theun is appointed until July 2026, 2nd term.
